The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) has received National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) funding to support 8 undergraduate student researchers at BIOS during the 2014 fall semester. Students will conduct independent projects under faculty and staff supervision.
Students who have completed at least one year of undergraduate study and will still be undergraduates in the fall of 2014 are eligible to apply. Minorities and women are especially encouraged. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Students having already conducted an Ocean Science REU are not eligible to apply. We encourage all successful applicants to arrange for independent study credit through their home institutions.
