Description 
Since the origin of life, microbes have dominated the evolutionary and geochemical history planet Earth. The microbial world is extremely complex and interactions between microbes have significant impacts on microbial community stability and activity. This REU program seeks to introduce students to the exciting world of environmental microbes.
Qualifications 
Minimum GPA:3.0, must have strong letters of recommendation and be either a current freshman, sophomore or junior to apply. Must be enrolled as an undergraduate the fall after the REU.
