Description: The primary objective of the REU is to introduce undergraduate students to a broad array of methods in computational chemistry, physics, mathematics, and chemical engineering. Mentors will provide valuable perspectives regarding the way in which theory can interface with experiemnts, and they will present overview lectures on the experiments that connect most directly with theory. Students will work on individual research projects with their research results being presented at the end of the program in a poster session.
Student is responsible to travel to and from ISU. Travel to present at a national meeting will be provided.
Qualifications: To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and plan on receiving your bachelor's degree no earlier than January, 2008.
