Description: description of program: The Arizona Heart Foundation Cardiovascular Summer Student program (CVSS) is a six-week medical career education seminar that enables participants to shadow cardiovascular physicians and experience all aspects of the discipline from non-invasive to surgery. The program has received the 2007 Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education Award for Pathways to Higher Education.
Qualifications: Science oriented students interested in a medical career, must have completed their freshman year.
