Description: Students will gain first hand experience in designing a research project, writing a research proposal, carrying out extended field research, analyzing data, and presenting results in oral, written,
and graphical form. Students choose a mentor after arrival and work with that mentor to design a research project of mutual interest.
Projects vary in scope from species to communities to ecosystems, but focus on some aspect of ecology, biology, or environmental sciences.
Qualifications: American citizen or permanent US resident; Undergraduate student who will not receive bachelor's degree before program ends.
