REU in Functional and Nanostructured Materials

Description: This REU program involves projects is in the areas of: (i)
synthesis of functional nanomaterials and (ii) effects of dispersed
nanostructures on material behavior. Students will participate in weekly
seminars on conducting research and achieving their career and education
objectives. Planned social activities will expose students to Puerto Rico's
rich culture and beautiful tropical setting.
Qualifications: Students in the fields of: engineering (chemical,
electrical, mechanical, nuclear, biomedical, manufacturing), chemistry,
physics, and materials science and engineering. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
