Description: This 10 week REU program focuses on Condensed Matter, LASER Physics, and Biophysics. Topics include: superconductivity, magnetic materials, single crystal growth, thin films and nanostructures, spectroscopy, biofilm, materials for fuel cells including investigation new fuel cell interconnects, applied optics and optical storage, quantum computing, and ion-beam studies of solids.
Qualifications: Full-time undergraduates, typically finishing their freshmen, sophomore, junior, or senior years. U.S. citizens or permanent residents of USA.
