Description: Position will involve the design and testing of electrochemical devices. Responsibilities will include process development, materials analysis and system integration, providing a great opportunity to gain experience with hands-on laboratory research and the use of analytical equipment .(Scanning electron microscopy and chromatography.) Since the research is highly proprietary it cannot be disclosed outside Bose Corporation (interns sign a non-disclosure agreement and research cannot be used for school presentations/papers).
Public transportation is not readily available, students need to have reliable transportation to our facilities at Park Place at 1 New York Avenue in Framingham, MA
The intern position is full time, 40 hr/week, and salary is commensurate with experience (for juniors it is around $17-18/hr). Start and end dates are January to June, with an option to continue through summer.
Qualifications: undergraduate research experience for students with a background in chemical engineering, material science and mechanical engineering. We need a 6 months' commitment from the interns to conduct research in our laboratories, with an optional extension through the summer months.
The intern must be eligible to be legally employed in the US.
