ACS-RISE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Description: The American Chemical Society has partnered with the RISE program to offer special scholarships to up to 10 RISE participants who are US citizens with prior research experience. 150 students can participate in the RISE program but only 10 will be selected as ACS-RISE Scholars. RISE Scholars receive a $220/week stipend but no travel to/from Germany. In addition to the RISE stipend, ACS-RISE Scholars will receive air travel to Germany, language training, and a trip to the ACS National Meeting in August 2007. Programs range from 6-12 weeks.
Qualifications: RISE applicants should be current sophomores or juniors. To be eligible to become an ACS-RISE Scholar, applicants must be US citizens with prior research experience.
