CENTC Undergraduate Summer Research Program

Description: The goal of the 8-10 week summer research program is to introduce students from diverse backgrounds to the excitement of conducting transformative chemical research in a collaborative environment. Scientists from academia, National Labs and industry will provide mentoring and career preparation sessions via regular teleconferencing.

Qualifications: Successful applicants will most likely be majoring in the chemical sciences and rising juniors or seniors, though these are not required. The only requirement is that the student be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program. No experience is required. The awards consist of a stipend of $4,000 and compensation for travel and housing. Application deadline is February 21, 2009. Sixteen students will participate.
