Description 
Each year, Utah MRSEC funds up to 12 exemplary undergraduates to participate in summer research projects in the areas of Plasmonics or Organic Spintronics. Students with an interest and background in physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering (electrical, metallurgical) are good candidates for the MRSEC Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
Qualifications 
Open to U.S. citizens & permanent residents obtaining an undergraduate degree after December 2015. Women & minority students are especially encouraged to apply. Students from non-research institutions may be given priority.
