Description 
This nine-week paid program offers research in all the departments of the Duke Engineering—Biomedical , Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil and Environmental , and Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. It has an emphasis on including populations underrepresented in engineering--women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. A wide variety of projects are offered in all areas of engineering. A travel stipend of $400 is provided.
Qualifications 
Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 and be current undergraduates (that is, still be in school in fall semester 2013) in any of the fields of engineering, or any of the hard sciences such as chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, computer science, etc.. They must be US citizens or official permanent residents.
