Description 
Our Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), supports undergraduate research in computer vision, pervasive computing, data visualization, social networks, and human-computer interaction. Participating undergraduates collaborate with faculty and graduate students on interdisciplinary research that is being conducted within the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Projects involve the creation and evaluation of innovative, interactive technologies that address problems of societal interest. With the objective of broadening the participation in computing doctoral programs, the targeted student participants are women and minority students from minority, women’s, and non-doctoral institutions.
